I stand firmly behind my belief that the biggest asshole award goes to Rick Santorum for his small-minded, insulting comment about how women shouldn’t be able to receive an amniocentesis as it would lead to abortions. Thank you for that hideous generalization, Santorum. Amniocenteses can not only save lives but can help families prepare the best care for their child after birth if, say, they are diagnosed with Down Syndrome in the womb. Where did these candidates come from?
